Exposure Guide
A system for guiding the user to become more socially engaged. It establishes a profile for the user, and uses that to generate a selection of situations they can engage in to become more comfortable socially. Expectations of how the situation will go are recorded, and are then assessed after the engagement to evaluate their accuracy. That information is then used to reflect on the previous expectations. That loop repeats with future situations of escalating difficulty.
Exposure Guide is available through the web using a subscription service, or on desktop for users who would prefer managing their own data. AI is used in line with our policy for possibilities but not prescriptions, see our AI Policy for more information.
The desktop version is tailored for privacy-oriented users where one can use a locally hosted LLM or one's own API key for standard providers. It is available for Windows and Linux.
In Progress
Lethe
A collection of tools to help the user better understand themselves and the people in their life. It takes various established models for thinking about one's personality and the shape of one's life, and presents them in a more accessible and engaging form that preserves their depth. The tools share a common profile so that one carries into another, and the user can invite friends to compare against.
Tutor
A tool for learning a variety of subjects. The user states what they would like to learn, and a map of lessons is laid out to take them there. AI is used to explain concepts and provide practice, however it does not grade or verify the user's work, the user moves on when they feel comfortable. The intent is to provide structure without restricting the user.
Gestalt
A desktop application for assembling small tools and connecting them so that they can share data and respond to one another. Each piece is just a generic node, whether a piece of data, a display, a function, or an AI helper, and any of them can be connected to the others, so that something quite complex can be built up out of simple pieces. An attempt at combining the flexibility of higher level scripting and UIs, with native performance and capability.
